Our Ever-Expanding Library of Specialty Finishes
After years of experimenting with—and perfecting—countless blackened steel, brass, bronze, copper, and stainless finishes, we’ve realized it’s impossible to showcase them all. We’ve included a select few in our “library” below for reference, but please don’t hesitate to contact us if you’re seeking something not listed. Our recipes continue to grow, and we often develop new finishes on a custom basis.
What’s in Our Library?
Below, you’ll find some of our more unique finishes, along with our standard shop offerings: blackened cold-rolled steel, blackened hot-rolled steel, and blackened stainless steel. While we do our best to provide accurate color representations, variations in monitor calibration and photography mean the final product may look slightly different in person. Each sample shown measures four inches in height.
Living Finishes
All of our patinas are “living finishes,” meaning they naturally evolve over time and develop unique character as they age. This organic transformation is part of their appeal—but it also means they require a bit more care than a standard painted surface.
Sample Requests
Due to high demand, we charge a modest fee of $50 per sample (plus shipping) to cover the materials and labor required for each handcrafted piece. However, if we move forward with your project, this fee will either be credited toward the job or refunded—your choice.
