The console table sits behind the sofa in the family room. It was built using 3/8″ hot rolled steel plate, gently sanded to remove excess scale, then oiled, and waxed. The table measures almost 10′ in length and had to be built in two pieces for logistic reasons. Overall weight of this piece before wood was 710lbs. [Read more…]
Finish Library
Our ever expanding library of specialty finishes. This list only covers our more unique finishes. We also have our standard shop finishes of blackened cold roll steel, blackened hot roll steel and, blackened stainless. We do our best to show color samples as true to life as possible but, un-calibrated monitors and photographs can never show metal exactly the way it is. Contact us for arrangements on seeing sample finishes in person. For reference, all finishes shown are 4 inches in height.
Note: Due to the high demand of sample requests, we’ve had to start charging a $50 per sample fee + shipping. This charge simply covers the material and labor that goes into each hand crafted piece. Not to worry though! If we proceed with your project we will simply credit this fee towards the job or send you a refund (your choice). To request samples email info@pivot-fabrication.com. 1800 9th Avenue
Blackened steel (cold roll) with a clear coat sealer. Pivot worked with designers, architects, and another metal shop to plan and execute this project. The result was this beautiful patina and top coat combination. It has just the right amount of durability for the space, without sacrificing the great looks of blackened steel.
